NICOSIA, Cyprus (January 16, 2025) – A delegation from the Cyprus Gaming and Casino Supervision Commission, led by Chairman Mr. Christos Mavrellis, along with Commission Member Mr. Marios Pieri and Executive Director Mr. Harris Tsangarides, presented the Commission’s biennial report for 2022-2023.

Chairman Mr. Mavrellis reiterated the Commission’s steadfast commitment to transparency, safeguarding national interests, and aligning with international regulations. He emphasized that the Commission operates with a primary focus on public protection and minimizing potential negative exposure of the Republic internationally. Additionally, Mr. Mavrellis highlighted the high level of expertise among the Commission’s personnel, noting its effective operations and international recognition.

President of the Republic, Mr. Christodoulides, expressed his gratitude to the Commission for its work, emphasizing that the established infrastructure provides a solid foundation for the future. He assured that the report will be carefully reviewed by the Secretariat for Monitoring Government Projects, with the goal of continuously improving and strengthening the Commission’s role as a supervisory authority.
