Harris Tsangarides
As of July 2022 the commission’s CEO is Harris Tsangarides. Harris took over after Nick Tofiluk’s departure from the commission in December 2021. The CEO’s principal responsibility is to organise, manage and supervise of all commission activities and to apply its regulatory policies as set by the Board of Directors. Harris’ vision is to establish the Commission as a world class gaming regulator and to make sure that casino gaming in Cyprus is conducted fairly and responsibly in accordance with the law and regulations.
Prior to this role, Harris was the Town Clerk of the Municipality of Aglantzia. During his time there he was actively driving organisation, staffing, and effectiveness excellence in a semi government organisation.
Harris also has extensive experience in the private sector as he held important management positions in large private companies. Harris is holder of a BSc (Hons) in Actuarial Science from City University of London and an MBA (Financial Management) from the University of Hull.
