EU Extends Sanctions Measures Against Burundi

The European Council renewed its restrictive measures in view of the situation in Burundi for a further year, until 31 October 2025.

The restrictive measures currently in place apply to one person. The designated person is subject to an asset freeze and EU citizens and companies are forbidden from making funds available to him. Furthermore, he is subject to a travel ban, which prevents him from entering or transiting through EU member states.
