EU Amends Haiti Sanctions Regulations

The Council of the European Union adopted Regulation (EU) 2024/1803 to amend sanctions against certain persons in Haiti.

The amended regulation incorporates United Nations Security Council Resolutions 2664 (2022) and 2699 (2023) which incorporates humanitarian exemptions to sanctions, and replaces the targeted arms embargo related to arms and related material to be applied to certain individuals and entities in the whole of the Haiti territory.
