EU Amends 12 Islamic State, Al-Qaida Sanctions Entries

The European Commission announced Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2025/611 to amend certain ISIL (Da’esh) and al-Qaida sanctions entries pursuant to a recent United Nations Security Council decision.

Specifically, the EU amended 12 entries on the sanctions list pursuant to UNSC Resolutions 1267 (1999), 1989 (2011), and 2253 (2015).

The annex to the amended regulation provides details on the amended entries, all of which remain subject to asset freeze measures.
